Super Saturday
This is the first year in a good while that I haven't watched the rugby on Super Saturday. I haven't been able to watch a single game. Facebook has helped me keep up to date on what is going on though.
Instead I have been working. I was up in Aberdeen for the Scottish Liberal Democrats Party Conference. I have voted Lib Dem in the past, but I'm not one - we go to all the party conferences for work. I just drew the short straw and had to miss the rugby this time. So I was up at 4.15am to get my train and I'll be home, hopefully, 17 hours later - then my weekend can begin!
The highlight of the conference for me was the charming and charismatic Paddy Ashdown, who introduced Willie Rennie, leader of the Scottish Lib Dems. He's pictured here nonchalantly leaning against the lecturn instead of standing behind it like everyone else. I couldn't help but like the man!
