Maggie Wall's Cairn
What a fabulous day! The weather was gloriously sunny, so we went out for one of our mystery drives and found lots of places we knew nothing about:-) This cairn, near the village of Dunning in Perthshire, was one of them and there's a fascinating history of it here .
It was also a day for flora and fauna galore including masses of fresh snowdrops by a burn, dozens of hares and curlews in the fields, two young deer with very new antlers and lots of pheasant and partridge trying very hard to get run over as they dashed in front of the car!
I think Spring might have sprung at last:-)
