Survivors

Jesus, this is difficult. Spent hours at hospital today but eventually both girls emerged, different, better, up, down, sore, confused, loving and loved.

Absolutely amazing surgery. Can't capture my feelings, other than elation that my wife survives and my daughter has a better chance in her life.
Brings into question one's own beliefs and understandings. Don't know what mine are, but I do believe in "Vlad the Impaler ", Sue's surgeon.
