The mice will play...
While the kids cats are away!
We spotted a window of opportunity today. At 4pm Elise went to her first ever sleepover at a pal's house - with at least 6 other hyper 8 year olds!. Amber was at a pal's for her birthday - until 9pm. Ah-ha!
We discovered a new place and made a booking for 5:30, we were on a bus by 5pm and on the bus home again at 7:30pm. This is Porter & Rye (West end side of Argyle St. if you are in Glasgow). This places does steaks, really good steaks. A very well thought out menu with great drinks (Paul had a cocktail called Whiskers on Kittens!). Locally sourced, aged beef and cooked to perfection.
It felt really bizarre to be coming home so early, but at the same time we felt like we'd been properly out. And..it meant we had enough time to watch Interstellar...although it does last a long time you kind of feel you have time travelled - after all we started watching it on Saturday night and it finished on Sunday :-)
Today really felt properly like Spring, the sky was blue, the Sun was warm and the parks were heavily populated with folk just hanging out, I love Glasgow in the Sun. To top it off, and this is the true test of the seasons changing - I hung a washing out for the first time this year....and it dried!
Hope the weekend is fab for you all.
Sorry I didn't have time to blip a fuzzy out of focus cat but I'm sure you'll agree, this is a bit wonky ;-)
See you tomorrow
Ciao
