The Easter Cross
What a beautiful spring day, perfect for our walk from Yeadon Tarn to Otley Chevin.
This panoramic view was taken from Surprise View, over looking Otley, and to the hills beyond.
On the right you can see the Easter Cross.
More than 100 volunteers hauled the giant cross into place this weekend.
It stands 30ft tall at Surprise View.
This years cross is made from timber salvaged from the bombed Arndale Centre in Manchester.
It was nice to see everyone again. Feet felt a bit tired at the end, as we haven't done any long walks for a few weeks!
Came home to find water pouring down the walls and ceiling from the bathroom above!
Just waiting for the British Gas man to come!
We think it is connected to the fitting of the new pump a few days ago.
Already had them back to that as it was leaking!
Think we might be ringing the insurance people tomorrow!
Hope you have al had a good weekend!
( many thanks for your lovely comments and stars for my mum's photo yesterday. I wonder what she would have thought had she been here ?!)
