A Mata of Life and Death
Sun dappled walk early morning with mum after a nice coffee sat outside the Cavendish Pavilion at Bolton Abbey. Crossing the bridge we had never walked up the lane toward Beamsley Moor that climbs by the side of Stead Dike, but we liked the scenery. Secretly very impressed with my mum at 83 being so willing and able. But even more secretly pining to get fishing, so it was pure torture crossing over the Wharfe without my fly rod.
Once back home though a super Sunday was made even more perfect by watching the live recording of the 1:2 win against the old enemy Liverpool with Gerrard sent off and United's 'little magician' Juan Mata scoring his second via a sublime scissor kick reminiscent of Rooney against City years ago.
Maybe not as important as life or death, but still very sweet for a Mancunian.
