JR playing on the beach - burr it's only 22F!!!

We stopped by the park and found our Granddaughter playing on the beach - it was only 22F, sunny but a brisk and bitterly cold wind blowing. She was there with her Dad, supposedly walking their dog. JR had spotted two lonely buckets on the beach so quickly carried water to the big bucket she'd filled with sand - saying she wanted to mix it right so she could build a sandcastle!  We were all so cold, as was their dog, but it took quite a while to persuade her to put her gloves on and come back to the car to be homeward bound.  She told me she had found some amazing shells and she'd put them  in Daddy's car so they wouldn't get broken.  Definitely a unique colorful little birdie I got a photo of today at the park!
