Shopping

An important task of day 1 is the shopping. It is a 20 min walk to the small village shop, fulfilling all essential needs. With two heavy backpacks we headed back to our log cabin, then preparing ourselves and the skis for some cross-country-skiing.

Temperature was -6 degrees Celsius with a bit of freh snow, i.e. ideal conditions for waxing our skis and avoiding the usage of klister (if you have ever used klister, you surely know what I am talking about). We then made a 14 km loop, with a short break in a café where we enjoyed a hot berry juice and a Munkki.
