Both sides of the Bay.

Badia de Pollensa that is ( I'm probably mixing my Mallorquin and Castillan Spanish there! )

I was going to just post one of these and call it sun, sand, sea and sangria as it was sitting alongside the beach enjoying the view in picture one at the top, whilst eating tapas and drinking sangria, that we decided to go and take a look at the other side of the bay. (Chris being the caballero was drinking beer!)

A laid back morning on the Pine Walk again watching the bustle of the new working week as everybody frantically tries to get everything ready for the Easter hols starting next week when the first major influx of tourists of the season are expected. Our hotel is open all year but some of the others aren't yet and you can see here where they have been busy tidying up the beach. (That started at about 8.00 am!)

We headed off to first take a look around the old walled town of Alcudia. Lovely old streets and you can still walk on some of the walls and several of the gates are still intact.
Having sought out the sun to sit in this morning we were now looking for shade for our afternoon cup of tea. It was a Morrocan cafe and we asked for 'dos te con leche'. He looked a bit puzzled and brought us two teas and a teapot full of hot milk!

We then headed up the peninsula to the Mirador de Victoria. A restaurant, botiga, church and hostel were at the end of the road and this view back to the other side of the bay. Here you can see Port de Pollensa in the distance. You could also see Cap de Formentor and the usually well hidden and rather exclusive Hotel Formentor.

The very end of the peninsula, Cap de Pinar, was closed off as a 'Reserve' with multi lingual signs saying ' Big Game'! It could be for shooting wild boar as we have seen these signs before in the mountains.

We saw a goat!
