Mackerel Sky.

A good day for drying the washing, and as I was picking it in I noticed this cloud formation.
This one really does look like a mackerel, with the shape and scales.
Found a little rhyme :-

Mackerel sky, mackerel sky
Never long wet,
Never long dry.

Having just heard the weather forecast from Paul Hudson, I think this is right!

Electrics have been given the all clear after the "flood".
Waiting for the insurance people to assess the damage, tomorrow.
House just has that "wet dog" smell, but I know people who have had it a lot worse!
