These two phoned us last evening to tell us the news -- they are engaged to be married.

Then Ashly phoned this morning to tell us they were at our little beach shack in Cayucos. So we gave them directions to get in so they could see it and see the view from inside. She sent a text with these words: "I love the house." We were thrilled that they got to see it.

Then our other granddaughter, Desiree, sent a text to ask if we were available, she wanted to phone us. Des is Tristan's mom. So we connected by phone, and Des told us we are going to be great-grandparents again. She and Justin will be having a baby in November. Her due date is November 20th; my birthday is November 17, so you can guess what I'm thinking.

This has been quite a day.
