Reflections on Life

Spent the day indoors today nursing a sore back (no idea how it happened!) and watching the weather change from blue sky and fluffy white clouds, as reflected here, to black skies and hail showers:-)  Spring in the UK!

Started Week 1 of my latest MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) with The Open University.  It's called "Inequality in Personal Finance" and is sub-titled "The Baby Boom Legacy".  As a baby boomer myself ( a later one you understand!!), I was interested to find out what we'd be accused of and whether the consensus of opinion would agree or not with the premise. 

So far it's been mainly statistics and graphs, but these have been really interesting and informative and there are enough "boomers" among the students to quickly dispel any myths, so looking forward to the next three sessions. 

It's certainly caused me to think more about the huge inequalities of income and opportunity in many countries and the long term effects on a nation's health and well-being.
