Sculpted

After two nifty train changes, we arrived in Bonn yesterday evening just in time for the rehearsal of The Armed Man which we are performing here with the Bonn school choir that performed it with us last October in Oxford. Before the first performance tonight my warm and lovely hosts took me to the Bundeskunsthalle for an excellent exhibition on Michelangelo’s influence on European art. Impeccably curated, each room given to one major work (of which there was a photograph) and pieces inspired by it assembled from collections all over Europe.
 
I took lots of photos of the striking architecture on the Museumsmeile when I was in Bonn a year ago and had to fight taking the same pictures this time!
 
The concert this evening was fantastic with a generous conductor getting the best out of all of us. Really fun to be part of it.
