The Greasy Pole

Here is Whitey, (don't laugh) ready to shin up the pole to breakfast on the bird seed. We have given him that inauspicious  name as he has strange white patterns on his back, and more white fur on his face.
It cannot be that he has lost some fur and the re-growth was white, as the patterns on his back are quite symmetrical.
I wonder if anyone else has a grey squirrel with white markings in their garden?
