Lewes and the South Downs

An ambitious walk this morning from Falmer south via Newmarket Hill, Castle Hill and Balsdean in pouring rain, high winds and near zero visibility. The spaniel and I chugged up and down for a couple of hours eventually climbing up onto Kingston Ridge.  As we hit the northern end of the ridge the cloud lifted, the sun came out and the view across the Ouse Valley towards Lewes, Mount Caburn and Firle Beacon was revealed.
