Ammonites #3

I've finished "Ammonites" - the second in my series of fossil inspired prints. I printed an ochre background using quick-drying water-based inks in the morning. Cut out the background and had lunch while the prints dried then printed the black layer using oil-based inks. This is my first print using my new registration system and its proved amazingly successful. Normally you might make 12 prints and get maybe one or two with perfect registration. With the new system all 12 are bang on in other words you would not know that the ochre layer extends underneath the black (but the extra photo proves that it does).
