That's Life!

Your Goose Is F . . . . . .

It used to be a proud long-necked goose, 'swooping. across the Old Seed House Garden in Georgetown. Not any more, it's now an ex-long-necked goose. Sculpted by Ken Hall a couple of years ago, the bird was vandalised during the winter, supposedly by bored teenagers.

When we moved to Georgetown 15 years ago, the area was the site of a wonderful and dramatic old mock-Tudor building, the Dominion Seed House. However, progress caught up and the place was demolished and replaced by (what else?) houses and a park, which contains a few bits and pieces of the stone wall of the sunken garden.

You'd be excused for thinking that the real vandals are not the kids who may have lopped the head off the goose . . . .

Here's what the goose looked like before it lost its head
