Horse Sense
Taking pictures of Mother and Son, shaded from the sun in the corner of field next to a busy crossroad. Be careful, warns Jools, sitting in our truck across the road. Look before you return. Don't dash out in front of the traffic.
As if I'd do that.
Pictures taken, I turn to cross the road. Look left. Clear. Look right. Clear. Don't look down. Big mistake. There's a 4cm step up to the road. I sprawl across the road. Tarmac burns on elbow and knee. Camera bounces across the road.
Mother horse says to her son, "Bet that idiot's camera is smashed beyond repair?"
"Neigh," is the reply."It's a Nikon"
Smart lad. Sore photographer.
