Up, up and Away

Nasa launches super pressure balloon at Wanaka.  If you google 'nasa balloon wanaka', then you will be able to view the launch of their balloon.

I was half way up Mt Iron to get this shot, but was also watching the take off on my iphone, so I knew just when it was going to happen.  Very exciting as hundreds of people filed up the Mt Iron track.  It will be a talking point for a long time to come.  There are some amazing video shots taken from the balloon itself.  Worth a look.
