a glimpse of sunshine

The weather forecast was for snow overnight and early morning and it was right for once. It flattened some of my daffodils :(

After a session at the gym (the fitness is improving slowly) I drove further along the Langdale valley for a short walk to try the new boots out. I don’t know if less snow had fallen here than at home or if it had thawed before I arrived. 

The sun only appeared for a few short bursts and I was lucky to catch this view during one of them. More wintry showers in the afternoon and a lovely rainbow viewed from the kitchen window.
