Another test day for the boots. It’s a while since we’ve been to Whinlatter Forest and as I know there’s a good coffee and cake at the end of the walk it seemed an obvious choice. It also gave me the chance to try the boots on everything from the forest roads to bog. 

After 5 miles of ups and downs taking in Lords Seat and Barf my feet were dry and comfortable. I was one happy hiker today, though i’m still wondering why my husband was given a much bigger piece of cake than me in the cafe.
