Yesterday snowing,tonight sowing....

What a difference a day makes,24 little hours.... A cold wind this morning helped dry things up enough to attempt seeding some oats tonight. If the forecast is right it will be wet and windy tomorrow. Have you noticed how farmers are obsessed with the weather ?
Started to sort out cattle for next weeks sale. A lorry in for 22 heifers that are going store direct to another farm.The advantage of this rather than auction is you know the price you are getting,and the buyer pays the haulage. The disadvantage is you are always left wondering if you've sold them for enough or would they have made more at auction !! In this game you need a lot of fingers in a lot of different pies,and hopefully you survive.
Lambing progressing, but best to avoid the 'herd as he's in a foul mood !
