Papier mache....harder than you think

Here's my 2nd attempt at a papier mache covered balloon which was going to be painted white (like an egg) with an Easter chick sticking out the top. But 2 deflated balloons later, I'm giving up and will stick colourful feathers over a straw hat and that will be my Easter bonnet offering for next weekend.

Wishing I was much craftier than I am!
