Sandy Point (2014.362)
A picture-postcard kind of day, down at Sandy Point.
When the tide is out, it's a 250m walk from the top of the beach to the water's edge. I took off my T-shirt to go swimming, and by the time I got to the water, I could feel the sun prickling on my skin. So I walked back, grabbed my T-shirt, and swam with it on. Seemed easier than putting on lotion that would just get washed off straight away.
An afternoon of surfing (not entirely successfully!), body-boarding, swimming and building sandcastles, followed by a cold beer and implausibly large portions of chips in the cafe on Sandy Point's main street.
Another great day.
