As we walked the three pooches about 5 p.m., I was looking for a photo -- something beautiful and possibly unusual.

This neighborhood rose qualified as both.

This evening we're packing our things so we can leave tomorrow for the Central Coast after I finish teaching. We're planning to have a lovely weekend.
