Moment's Wonder

Zion!

This is the view from Observation Point, Zion National Park, Utah.

The elevation that this is taken from is 6508 feet above sea level. The hike was a serious of switchbacks up and then back down. We chose to do this hike over Angel's Landing, which is one of the most recognized hikes in Zion.

I think my hiking campanions were looking out for me a bit, because I have a fear of heights and Angel's Landing requires holding onto chains while you cross a narrow divide. The man who sold me my day pack told me he crawled it! I have stayed in contact with our guide from the Grand Canyon and he described Observation Point as every bit if not more stunning but without "the freak out" factor. It was freaky enough for me.

I was able to stay back from the edge, way back.
