Fields of Green

Our field has been lush and green since late April. Overlooking acres of this peaceful landscape is one of the many pleasures of living in the country. It's a bitter-sweet moment when the tractor and mower emerge from the barn and enter the field. Bitter, as my allergies to hay make for a very long afternoon. Sweet, as the hay provides financial profit for the farm and our family.

Hay is part of our life now, and I'm thankful that we are able to do such physically demanding work. It's hard to believe that in a few short years, the kids will be working next to us.
