Knitted Poppies

Knitters have created tens of thousands of red poppies festooning libraries and other places where community knitters have gathered to knit in preparation for April 25, Anzac Day when we memorialise the landing of the combined Australian and New Zealand Army Corps' landing at Gallipoli. It is a day of grieving more generally when we join to recognize the sad loss of life and suffering of the landing.
