Story of my day.....

Football boots and assistant referee flags all washed and drying after i had refereed an excellent top-of-the-table football match today in the most appalling conditions in Leicestershire, not far from Loughborough.
KEverything was spattered with gooey, sticky mud - including me.
It rained heavily and kcontinuously throughout, with a strong westerly wind chill.
Both teams were ,well behaved and respectful of me and one another. Wish they were all like that!
Hot shower improved things. Boots and flags recovering also.
