Pup

He was as soft as a plush toy and a bit overwhelmed by all the activity around him at the pet show today.

I went there on the spur of a moment -- not really my kind of event, and left with a slightly uncomfortable feeling. The array of services and products available to our furry friends is astounding: psychics for pets, resorts (with chefs and pools), clothing lines, cookies and treats that could be mistaken for human gourmet fare, oxygenated water, hand-crafted feeding tables, funeral services, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and of course specialized photography. 

As much as I like pets, I find it disturbing that they live better here than the vast majority of humans on the planet...
