The edge of the world

...or, as we know it in these parts, Cumbernauld.

Our Tuesday walk with Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Ramblers this week started and ended in Cumbernauld Village and, after walking up to and through Carrickstone, was mainly in the excellent Cumbernauld Community Park.

Just as the walk started, the sleet turned to snow and it looked as if the walk was going to be a miserable one. However, thankfully, the snowstorm was a brief one and the rest of the walk was undertaken in (what is euphemistically termed) sunshine and showers. The leader had already decided to take a shorter route than originally planned but the views over Cumbernauld from the Community Park were pretty good, all things considered.
