Alongside the Devon

The Devon in this photograph is not the English county with that name but the River Devon that runs through Clackmannanshire, where we walked with Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Ramblers on Wednesday. 

Leaving Tillicoultry we walked east along the riverside and through (rather muddy) woodland until Dollar then, after a short stretch along the Burn of Sorrow (great name I always think!) through the town, back along various country paths to our start-point. A social stop for coffee and muffins in the Outlet Village at Tillicoultry rounded off a fine day.
