Delay-Day 1

So, we set out on our trip from Belfast to Cork en route to catch a ferry to France with caravan hitched up and everything on board.  Just 20 miles or so into the 220 mile journey a loud bleep sounded and a message flashed on the dashboard, "engine fault, repair needed"  Whilst we waited for our friendly mechanic to come to the rescue, we attracted the attention of the police.  I thought it was because we were parked in a bus stop lay-by, but it turned out there was a Royal visit going on and we had to be checked out.  Our mechanic duly arrived (5 star man) and diagnosed over stressing in the engine department.  Never mind the over stressing in the human department! Reluctantly we abandoned ship (well, we were going to miss our ferry) and returned home to assess the options.
