M3 Bridge
Belfast's M3 bridge offers great views up the Lough, taking in the Titanic building and ships (or in this case oil rigs) lined up for service in the building dock. The dock (where I had my first job at the age of sixteen) is spanned by Samson and Goliath the two huge yellow cranes (I pressure tested the epoxy resin tracks on which they run). We crossed the bridge to have brunch with A and G and I snapped this on the way back (I wasn't driving). Between heavy showers this afternoon we managed to do the bulk of the caravan packing in readiness for our spring migration south to France. People think that we holiday in France for six months of the year, but we just migrate there to a second home where there are daily chores, shopping, gardening, maintenance, consultancy and all sorts to be done. We never sit in the sun and never drink wine, honestly!!
