First of the month!

Colleen Rua, named by Canoneyes, her godfeather, has laid her first egg, the little blue one.

I was going to photoshop Flash onto the top branch of a tree, for an April Fool's blip, but a blue egg is just as funny. And it's real.

I let the chickens out this morning, wondering if they'd bonded sufficiently to stick together. They've spuddled about near the house for half an hour and have wandered up the path within a foot or so of each other. I'm optimistic that I'll still have two chickens at the end of the day.
