The creme egg cake

Some may think this is a lame attempt at a birthday cake but it was perfect for hubby today. You see he doesn't really like cake very much but every year I make him one because, I guess, me and the kids do like eating cake! Lately we've all become a little bit addicted to creme eggs so I had the idea of doing this instead - hubby loved it.

After work and present opening we all went to a lovely restaurant not too far from us. It started serving meals early and was super kid friendly with a playground, an indoor play room for children and very friendly staff. We had a really lovely time!

Mum left early this morning but it was lovely to see her, as always, and next time we'll have to take her to above mentioned restaurant.
