.......sporting history..........

We called at the Boss' Dad's house on the way to my Dad's to begin emptying ready for it going on sale.

The Boss showed me this.............her step-mum owns it..........it's a trophy won by Harold Abrahams as a child in 1909.

For those of you who don't know the story Abrahams won the 100m sprint at the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris............a feat depicted in the Oscar winning film "Chariots of Fire".

He was a friend of the Boss' step-mum and her first husband....hence why she has the trophy.

It was amazing to see and hold this small cup and think of the legend of the man who won it..............and kept it...........even though he went on to greater feats.

Das vidanya moy padruga.
