I spent five hours, and I mean five hours, logging and capturing the 2-hour footage I shot a couple weeks ago. For some reason, either my laptop or the computer in the editing lab would not let me transfer whole tapes at a time, so I had to spend hours hand-picking the shots I wanted and labeling them before logging everything. Once that was done, I had to capture it. That means sitting back and letting the two-hour footage play back at normal speed. There was only one other person in the editing lab and he was nice enough to watch my hard-working laptop for me as I left to do errands around the building.
