J and I had a lovely 8 mile walk up on the moor where I noticed the con trails made the shape of the St Andrew's Cross in the blue sky, so that's the blip.  

We planned our Edinburgh Festival treats - Antigone, Marriage of Figaro, some time for exhibitions, and more music, plus the first day of the book festival.  The big thing is our plan to go to Burma/Myanmar in November - I will book it tomorrow and yay we don't need to go to London - in fact it costs the same and is quicker from Newcastle/Dubai/Bangkok/Yangon.  Mr C is going to trek in the Simian Mountains in Ethiopia while we are gone, so we are all happy.  

And the sun shone today, and though it was still quite cold in the wind, there was a feeling it was spring at last.
