Blackcurrant cheesecake

The haar/fret/mist - general greyness - is here still. Now people in the Midlands and East have been advised to stay indoors if they have breathing problems, as the Saharan sand which has blown over here plus pollution is combining to cause potential problems. Sounds incredible that we should get the sand coming so far, but it was on our car yesterday. It is 2nd April so not even a joke. (Yesterday's Guardian's joke was that Scotland was considering changing to drive on the continental (right hand) side of the road to be in line with the other European countries - so they were going to have to build a strange apparatus at the borders with England so that the cars could change to the left there)

Mr C has gone to Scotland on his weekly visit to see his mother. It is unpleasant outside, so I've not gone up on the moor to walk today as I wouldn't see much in the mist, so it is an indoor blip. We are having friends for supper tonight. I've cooked some minced lamb meatballs and chickpea curry, to be followed by this Blackcurrant Cheesecake. I've put in some of the Savoy honey we brought back from the Alps to sweeten it a bit as not everybody likes their puddings as tart as I do. I hope they like it.

(I've had to add some of the journal later as again all of it did not appear on the first publication. I wonder if the powers at blip are censoring the boring bits?)
