Shopkins

Bless Squidge, look at that of concentration on her face! She's playing with her latest obsession, Shopkins. The fads are coming thick and fast of late - they burn out after a couple of weeks, we find.

Angus had forgotten he'd driven to work yesterday so he got a cab home leaving the car overnight in Manchester's most expensive carpark! So we all had to get a taxi in this morning so he could pick it up. We'd had a bad night with Squidge. She was up a few times with a temperate and seemed out of sorts. Hence treating her to some more Shopkins to cheer her up.

We had a lovely lunch at Wagamama's along with half of Manchester's families as it was the deluged Spinngfields duck race. Grey and rainy compared with last year's sunshine. I had a beer and a gorgeous Banana Katsu dessert (deep fried bananas pancake caramel ice cream loveliness) to make myself feel like it was a day off - even though Angus was working this afternoon.

Squidge seemed to go downhill fast after lunch and was practically asleep on Angus's shoulder walking down Deansgate - so we drove her home for a nap. We had a nap together in our bed and I didn't even notice Angus get up and go to work!

She's got a temperature now and is floppy and lethargic, lying on the sofa and complaining of a poorly tummy. Chicken pox has been going round at nursery so we are just praying it doesn't develop into that, especially with a lovely few days booked in Edinburgh at the end of next week. Typical eh?
