Grey
Day Nineteen
I love the sea, always have, I can remember jumping up and down on the back seat of the coach as a young boy shouting "I can see the sea".
Some of my happiest moments were alone on the upper deck of a warship at twilight or dawn looking out at the horizon.
Not for me scorching sunshine and flat seas, I like the grey and overcast, flickers on the crests of the waves so that you can just feel the deck moving underneath you.
I don't get to do that anymore but I do have Falmouth and the view out over Carrick Roads on a breezy grey day.
Good enough!
