The Skellig Cross of Hope.....
My offering for Good Friday. This little bronze effect plaque that I bought in Ireland in 2001 was inspired by the Celtic crosses on the Skellig Islands seven miles off the coast of Kerry, where 1400 years ago, beehive monasteries were built and monks lived simple lives dedicated to prayer. These islands are now a UNESCO world heritage site and are on my bucket list for a visit. Last time we weren't able to fit them into our schedule but saw them from afar.
