What lies in the riverbed

After a morning of shopping with Mr S, we went for a walk along the Wairau river, which is still very, very dry. Trying to find some semblance of life was quite hard, as was the walk along the stony riverbed. However, there was still some life to be found.

The light here today is to flat and grey for landscapes, so a macro was the best thing to find sadly!
