April Fool's Day

Sailed through today without any tricks played on us!  I always remember that old BBC April Fool showing spaghetti trees growing in profusion.

We are inundated with pheasants, especially cock birds chasing one another round and round in the fields trying to outdo one another during the mating game.  Later on in the spring we sometimes see baby chicks running round their mother bird like satellites - that is if the foxes and badgers don't get to the eggs or the young first.
