Wild key chase

Today turned out a little more involved than I'd planned, all because of a key!

S, E and I had a civilised breakfast then went into Northampton to my favourite fabric warehouse to get S some inspiration for her sitting room and dining room that she's having redecorated. It was a fun morning. Even E loved it. Then we went to a local country 'emporium' for a very good, speedy and well priced lunch, where I snapped E. We bought a few bits and pieces then said our goodbyes. It's been lovely to have them to stay.

When I got to Brackley to pick up Bilbo Baggins, I found my brother had forgotten to leave his house key for me in the usual place. I called him and, of course, they were already in Wales. Hmmm. Luckily my sister had a spare. But it was in her old house so I had to go to her new house, pick up their old house key, drive to their old house, locate the spare key and finally get back to Brackley for the dog! I think I've done an extra 60 or so miles today for that mutley. It certainly added an hour and a half to my travels!

While I was at C's new house I had a cuppa and was shown round. It's still rather in disarray but the main living area and kitchen are great. It's going to be marvellous when it's fully sorted. Teddy is loving his new bedroom and seems right at home already. I'm going back over tomorrow.

When I got Bilbo back to mine, we had a short walk in castle field and I'm going to have an evening of ironing as the pile is really huge.
