Imber
A disturbed nights sleep for Jules led us, via Sky news of all places, to Wiltshire for the day.
First was Imber village, a deserted WW2 training village on Salisbury plain. It's only open to the public one weekend a year apparently and was rather busy, the sky news article probably had something to do with that.
Bath arms cheddar next for a lovely lunch, that place has really changed since we last went there. Very nice indeed!
Charterhouse next for some frogspawn hunting, should have worn wellies, my feet got wet...
Great day out and even better as we were joined by Esther who kept Amelia entertained.
My highlight was crossing the tank ranges on Salisbury plain. Parts of it were really like a graveyard for destroyed military hardware. Really wished I could have had a closer look but the "Danger unexploded military debris, do not leave your vehicle" signs put pay to that.
