Food for the Monarchs
Milkweed on this breezy day is sending out its
seeds for this summer's crop of new plants. The
Monarch butterflies use these plants exclusively
to lay their eggs and produce their young. When
the catapillers dine on the milkweed, they gather
in a bitter taste that makes them repellent to the
birds, or so the "experts" tell us.
This photo is a story of rebirth. Happy Easter
everyone!
