Cooked

Today we fired off 2 kilns - a wood and a gas reduction. The wood won't be open until Sunday or Monday, but the gas will be open tomorrow evening. The gas kiln was fired in about 9 1/2 hours with no preheat and green, bisque, and re-fire pots. It pretty much broke every rule I've learned about firing kilns with those kind of pots inside. Plus, their cone 10 is equal to our cone 11 or 12. This is a picture of one of the cone packs in the wood kiln with the flames from the fire rolling past.
