Hatton lunatic asylum

As it was formly known before it was turned into a local housing estate, approximately a half a mile from the chis house( we live in a hamlet).

Building began in 1846 on the 42 acre site that has been purchased from The Earl of Warwick and was completed in1852.

A classic Victorian gothic building built on a grand scale and St one point housing 600 patients, many treated very cruelly with electric shocks.its believed that it's haunted by some old inmates, but don't worry we had Kanga with us!!
